Game briefing
Track colossal beasts across a living wilderness, vault their deadliest attacks, grapple aboard, and carve at glowing vital points with a massive blade.
Documented features
- Greatsword melee combat with charged and heavy attacks
- Flow Evade perfect-dodge move with an aerial plunge follow-up
- Grapple, climb, mount, and ride colossal monsters
- Monster wounds, fleeing, resting, and enraged signature attacks
- Monster library and slow-motion kill cam
How to play
Defeat three colossal monsters with a greatsword by reading attack tells, opening wounds, and exploiting grapple, climb, and ride opportunities. Finish hunts and the kill-cam sequence.
Your first few minutes
- Begin a hunt and study attack telegraphs before committing to a swing.
- Use charged or heavy greatsword attacks during recovery; target visible wounds, then reposition.
- Time Flow Evade against attacks. A perfect dodge can create the aerial plunge opportunity; grapple to reach climbable sections.
- Follow when the monster flees. It may rest and expose an opening; mount or ride when prompted, then finish the hunt.
Controls
- Left click (during the aerial Spike Vault follow-up)
- Perform the increased-damage plunge attack.
Only the left-click aerial plunge mapping is explicit. Use on-screen prompts/help for other inputs; do not assume keyboard or gamepad bindings.
A little head start
- Treat Flow Evade as deliberate timing: perfect dodges create strong counterattack windows.
- Reposition after major hits and watch enraged signatures; return when the monster finishes fleeing or resting.
- Use the library to learn each creature’s vulnerable moments before risky climbs.
