THE PLAYER’S FIELD GUIDE

How to play

Compose a spell in the palm quire, carry it into the 3D arena, and defeat waves of ink monsters. Learn which glyph combinations suit your mix of damage, control, summons, weapons, constructs, domains, and fusions.

Your first few minutes

  1. Open the palm quire and inspect the available glyphs before committing to a combination.
  2. Draw and combine glyphs; start with a simple elemental pairing so you can identify the resulting spell.
  3. Enter the third-person arena, aim at an ink monster, and cast. Observe range, area, and timing before revising the loadout.
  4. Between encounters, test categories and keep combinations that cover damage and control.

Drawing, combining, aiming, and casting are confirmed, but no input mappings are provided. Consult the game's on-screen help for bindings.

A little head start

  • Use the quire as preparation; experiment before a difficult wave instead of improvising every cast.
  • Pair a direct attack with a summon, construct, or domain so one spell behavior does not carry every encounter.
  • Aim deliberately: composed spells matter after you take them into combat and cast them.

Before you start

  • A modern web browser with access to the published Palm Seal browser build.
  • Use an input method supported by the game's on-screen instructions.
