THE PLAYER’S FIELD GUIDE

How to play

Survive Mage Knight by mastering seven elements, clearing encounters, and turning relic choices into a build for Dungeon threats or Arena pressure.

Your first few minutes

  1. Choose Dungeon for staged progression, or Arena for compact survival rounds and score-focused play.
  2. In Dungeon, clear enemy waves, handle elite encounters and hazards, collect treasure, and prepare for bosses.
  3. After encounters, inspect three randomized relic offers. Pick an elemental or universal upgrade that matches your spells; rank caps and loadout filtering shape the choices.
  4. Adapt as pressure rises: prioritize reliable survival and scoring in Arena, but preserve a coherent build for Dungeon's next encounter and boss.

The source confirms keyboard, mouse, and touch selection for rewards, but gives no exact movement or spell mapping. Use on-screen help; do not assume keys, buttons, or gamepad support.

A little head start

  • Treat relics as build decisions: favor upgrades that reinforce your active elements and spell slots.
  • Read telegraphs and cooldown feedback before risky exchanges; surviving preserves later relic choices.
  • Try both modes: Dungeon rewards build development and boss preparation, while Arena rewards repeatable survival and score optimization.
